We’re only a year old, so we’re just getting started — but our intention is clear: as we grow, a share of every bag we roast and every brew we pour will go back into the communities that make our coffee possible, from the farms that grow it to the neighbourhood on our doorstep. Who are Peoples Coffee?
Peoples Coffee is an independent coffee roaster and cafe in Plymouth, South Devon. We roast speciality-grade coffee in small batches at our roastery on the Mount Batten peninsula, serve it in our waterside cafe, and deliver it across the UK. Good Coffee, Good Times, Good Peoples.
Where is your coffee roasted?
Every bag is roasted at our own roastery at 101 Lawrence Road, Mount Batten, Plymouth. We roast in small batches so coffee is posted fresh, never warehoused.
Is your coffee ethically sourced?
We are an independent roaster in our early years, so we will be straight about where we are. We buy speciality-grade coffee and we are working towards direct, long-term relationships with the farms behind it, and towards paying properly for what they produce. Our packaging is recyclable. Giving back to the communities that grow our coffee is what we are building towards as we grow. More on our mission.
