This website is operated by Seawings Project Limited, trading as Peoples Coffee, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11255968, with its registered office at Ground Floor, Building A, Green Court, Truro Business Park, Threemilestone, Truro, Cornwall, TR4 9LF ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about this policy or your data rights at hello@peoplescoffee.uk or by post at the address above. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. Short version: we collect what we need to get coffee to your door, and nothing more.
Orders and subscriptions. When you buy from us or start a subscription, checkout is handled by Square. Square collects your name, email address, delivery address and payment details, and shares with us what we need to fulfil your order. We never see or store your full card details. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you. Square's own privacy policy applies to the checkout: squareup.com/gb/en/legal/general/privacy.
Forms on this site. When you use our contact or wholesale forms we collect the details you give us (name, email, business details, your message) so we can reply. These submissions are processed by Netlify, our website host. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, or steps taken before entering a contract for trade accounts.
Marketing. We only send marketing email if you have asked for it, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
The Peoples Pad. Bookings for our stay are made through Airbnb, under Airbnb's own privacy policy. We do not collect booking data through this site.
This site keeps cookies to a minimum. Essential cookies may be set by Square when you check out, so that your basket and payment work. We do not use advertising cookies.
We share personal data only with the services that make the shop work: Square (payments, orders and subscriptions), Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Royal Mail or our delivery carrier (name and address, to deliver your order), and our email provider (to reply to you and, with your consent, send updates). We do not sell your data, full stop. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Order records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. Enquiry emails and form submissions are kept for up to two years, then deleted. Marketing lists are kept until you unsubscribe.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@peoplescoffee.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you talked to us first.
If we change this policy we will update it here with a new date. Questions? Email hello@peoplescoffee.uk or write to us at the address above.
